JENNY MCCARTHY JOINS CINÉGROUPE’S ANIMATED SERIES 'TRIPPING THE RIFT'
Signs On To Cast Featuring Stephen Root ('News Radio', 'King of the Hill’) And John Melendez ('The Tonight Show With Jay Leno')
MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC -- January 30, 2007 – Jenny McCarthy ('Scary Movie 3', 'John Tucker Must Die') has joined the cast of CinéGroupe's hit animated series 'Tripping the Rift'. The third 13-episode season of the sexy and outrageous space satire from CinéGroupe ('What’s With Andy?,' ' GALIDOR™ ') produced in association with TELETOON Canada and SPACE: the Imagination Station is slated to debut in September. The 3D sci-fi satire for young adults chronicles the intergalactic adventures of an eclectic crew and their conscience challenged Captain, Chode.
McCarthy will lend her voice to the role of the gorgeous sex cyborg "Six," the most advanced android ever created. Aside from serving Chode's sexual desires, Six is also the science officer on the ship, using her beauty, brains and body to preserve some semblance of order on the ship.
Actors returning to their roles for season three include Stephen Root ('News Radio,' 'King of the Hill') as Chode, the ship's captain; Maurice LaMarche (voice of "Brain" from 'Pinky & The Brain') as "Gus," his sexually-confused robot slave; Gayle Garfinkle as "T'Nuk," the ship's aesthetically-challenged pilot; Rick Jones as "Whip," Chode's teenaged slacker nephew; and 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno's' John Melendez as “Bob” the voice of the Jupiter 42 - the spaceship with an irrational fear of wide-open spaces.
